Josefin Skullbacka

    JollsWith 10 years of experience in the language industry, Josefin has worked with a large number of international businesses as a translator and editor. Following her degree in creative writing in London, she worked as a translator, proofreader and financial writer for a well-known media company before ultimately setting up as a freelance writer and translator in 2008, which coincided with the birth of Lingoleaf.

    Josefin enjoys a constant stream of repeat requests from clients who are impressed with her eye for detail, accuracy and commitment. As a writer, Josefin thrives in an environment where she can work to tight deadlines and produce immaculate, consistent copy. She fills most of her days with writing and translating press releases, newsletters and web content for various European and UK-based clients, and with financial and medical proofreading assignments for her long-standing, international as well as London-based clients. Josefin currently also acts as creative assistant and script-editor for indie production company Purple Films, and in her spare time she is working on her first novel.

    Growing up in Finland, where she became fluent in three languages (Swedish, Finnish and English) at an early age, she also studied German and French for several years. Since moving to the UK in 1998, she has added Norwegian and Danish translation work to her list of accomplishments. She is a member of the Society of Authors and Translators Association, as well as the Anglo-Finnish Society.
